Ion Quiz
Chemical Reactions and their Equations: Interpreting and Balancing Chemical Equations
Chemical Formula Assignments will be worked on continuously from January 6-15. Consult the daily syllabus for specifics on what you are able to complete each night. Keep up with your work as we will discuss selected parts each day and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. Please consult the appropriate topics in Chapter 7 of your text as you work. It will be expected that you have read all of Chapter 7 prior to the semester exam. If you want to work ahead, you are of course welcome to do so. Some of the assignments will be given to you as handouts and some will be taken from your textbook and included with your packet. This work will be a good exam review as it uses many concepts from the first semester. (Exceptions would be safety and atomic theory.) Submit the assignments listed below as a packet on January 15. They should be stapled together in the following order:
  • Study Guide 71. Symbols and Formulas / Vocabulary Review
  • Formula Spreadsheet / 7.2 Nomenclature
  • Page 229 RC 10-14
  • Chemical Formula Practice
  • Page 223 SR #6; page 231 P 12-14
  • Empirical Formula/Water of Hydration Handout
  • Pg 216 SR #1-2; Pg 230 P 5-6
